Sadness consumes us
Like waves from sea to land
Waiting to tide out
There once was a girl, cursed by Athena,
Whos power was more feared than the arena,
With snakes as hair,
That earned her quite a stare.
But her most dominant feature,
That made her a most interesting creature,
Was her gaze that turned mortals into stone.
When we close our eyes
When we lose our grip to this world
We travel to a place
Where it’s all in your mind
Where nothing can scare us
Where it’s an elixir to calm
But the mind can devour us
As iron can’t be destroyed
But only by it’s own rust
We can’t be destroyed
But only by our mindset.
